About Me

Hello there! It’s Blandina

First here is a little about myself!

Supporting Dental Professionals to Build Successful Careers in UK Dentistry

My name is Blandina, and I am a GDC registered Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist working in the UK

My journey in dentistry did not begin where I am today. Like many people in the profession, I started at the very beginning.
My Journey in Dentistry started in 2002, when I qualified as a Dental Nurse.

At that time, I simply wanted to work in healthcare and help people. I did not realise that dentistry would become a career that would shape my life for more than 20 years.

As I worked in practice, I discovered something important. Dentistry offers real opportunities for growth. If you are willing to learn, improve your skills, and invest in education, you can continue moving forward.

This belief pushed me to keep learning and developing myself. Step by step, I progressed in my career and later qualified as a:

  • Dental Hygienist
  • Dental Therapist
  • BSc (Hons) Health Promotion Degree

Today, after more than two decades in dentistry, I am proud of the journey I have taken and the patients and colleagues I have helped along the way.

What Dentistry Has Taught Me-Over the years, dentistry has taught me much more than clinical skills.

It has taught me:

✔ The importance of education and lifelong learning

✔ The value of support and mentorship

✔ How powerful it is when professionals help each other grow
In my work as a clinician, I focus on building strong relationships with my patients.

My goal is always to help patients improve their oral health, confidence, and overall wellbeing.

When patients begin to see the improvement in their smile and dental health, it reminds me why I chose this profession.

Why I Support Other Dental Professionals-During my career, I have had the opportunity to work with dental professionals from many countries around the world.

Many of them shared the same challenges and questions:

  • How can overseas dentists work in the UK?
  • How do I register with the General Dental Council (GDC)?
  • How can a dental nurse become a dental hygienist or dental therapist?
  • What are the career pathways in UK dentistry?

I realised that many talented professionals struggle because the information is difficult to find or confusing to understand.

I also saw many ambitious dental nurses who wanted to grow in their careers, but did not know where to start.

This inspired me to begin sharing guidance and resources to support other dental professionals.

Helping Overseas Dentists Work in the UK

The UK has always welcomed international dental professionals, but the process of GDC registration for overseas dentists can feel complicated.

Many dentists spend months searching online trying to understand:

  • GDC registration requirements
  • UK dental exams
  • How to legally work as a dentist in the UK
  • The difference between NHS and private dentistry

Because I often received these questions, I decided to create a simple and clear guide to help foreign-trained dental professionals understand the process.

This became my ebook:

A Guide for Foreign-Trained Dental Professionals: How to Register to Work in the UK

The goal of the guide is simple.

To help overseas dentists save time, reduce confusion, and start their journey toward working in UK dentistry.

Supporting Dental Nurses Who Want to Progress

My journey started as a Dental Nurse, so I understand the ambition many dental nurses have to grow in their careers.

Dentistry offers many pathways, including becoming:

  • A Dental Hygienist
  • A Dental Therapist
  • A Dental Educator
  • A Specialist Dental Professional

But many dental nurses do not realise how possible this journey can be.

One of my passions is helping dental nurses understand that their career does not have to stop where they are today.

With the right knowledge and support, they can build the career they dream of in dentistry.

My Mission

My mission is to support and inspire dental professionals who want to grow in their careers.

Whether you are:

✔ An overseas dentist hoping to work in the UK

✔ A dental nurse wanting to become a hygienist or therapist

✔ A dental professional looking for guidance and direction

My goal is to provide clear information, support, and encouragement to help you move forward.

Because when dental professionals succeed, patients benefit too.
